Lead the implementation ofthe BRAC Safeguarding and sub-set plicies by training the cuntry leads f programmes/departments, and build up a pol trainers to ensure 100% staff, partners, vlunteers, cnsultants and service prviders receive training and refreshers the safeguarding policies;
Ensure the cuntry management, prgramme leads and reginal managers champing safeguarding;
Promote safeguarding culture in the BRAC Myanmar using different strategies such as awareness raising events, develping and displaying safeguarding materials in all offices, strengthening safeguarding procedures in recruitment, orientation and refresher training of staff, volunteers, partners and consultants, etc.
Ensure all staff, partners, cnsultants, volunteers and suppliers comply to BRAC safeguarding policy by getting their self-disclosure forms signed.
Act as the primary reprting avenue fr safeguarding related cncerns/vilatins and be the key resource for survivors, ensuring their safety, security and providing survivor support services in line with a survivor-centered approach;
Conduct safeguarding risk assessment and integrate safeguarding measures in prgrammes; and peratins with supprt frm the Head Office Safeguarding unit;
Lead case management f safeguarding vilatins ensuring that BRAC Myanmar meets its dnor bligatins to report safeguarding violations without delay;
Develp capacity staff to conduct sensitive investigations and produce high quality investigation reports, maintaining confidential investigation case files;
Ensure rganizatinal reprting and respnse mechanisms are functinal, practical and community-friendly;
Lead the prcess identifying, mapping and regularly updating lcal supprt services available to survive acrss the country in all the regions where programmes operate.
Maintain then line safeguarding case management system, reviewing incidents submitted and ensure timely follow-up actions;
Lead the annual safeguarding budgeting prcess for BRAC Myanmar, monitoring expenditure and fllw up actins with supprt frm the Head Office Safeguarding unit;
Prepare quarterly reprts for reported cases reporting to BI management;
Review monitoring and audit review findings and address gap areas;
Create impactful presentatins for senior management on reported cases and trend analysis;
Participate in prgram design meetings and kick-off workshops to facilitate inclusin risks, planning and strategy with regard to safeguarding;
Represent BRAC Myanmar at external meetings (i.e., Safeguarding cluster/network groups)
Supervise the fficers/interns wh will be wrking in the Safeguarding unit, providing them effective supervision and mentoring so that they have a positive learning experience
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Fllow the safeguarding reprting prcedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Adapt and support t achieve BRAC missin in terms of the social performance management objectives as well as the financial performance through its high valued workforce
Job Requirement
At least 7 years f experience in the development or humanitarian sector
Familiarity with micrfinance wrk nature desirable
At least 3 years f experience wrking in the areas safeguarding/PSEA, protecting, gender GBV in any reputable organizatin
Safeguarding/PSEA/GBV Case management experience desirable
Experience f conducting complex and sensitive safeguarding investigations and preparing investigation reports and guiding other teams to do so
Excellent conceptual and analytical skills with regards to safeguarding
Experience for implementing safeguarding policies and practices
Ability to build trust amng stakehlders to report safeguarding violations
Ability tomaintain the highest level for cnfidentiality and sensitivity
Knowledge for internatinal standards f safeguarding and ability t implement best practices
Ability to work strategically and practically with multiple stakehlders
Strong facilitatin and presentation skills
Experience f designing and delivering training and capable f delivering messages apprpriately t0 a variety for audiences
